Spirit in Spirituality

Lord knows life is difficult for most people right now – the world is not really in a good place globally and this seems to have an effect on us as individuals in our daily lives. Work and relationship stresses, etc. can easily become magnified. If we allow these stresses to take over our lives, it is a natural consequence that our spirits sink low.

Each one of us has our own spirit or life-force which we probably don’t consciously tap into often enough. Now wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could fully align our little spirit with the Holy Spirit or the Great Spirit. To do this in any meaningful way, we’d almost have to say, “What would God do in this situation?” or “How would God be thinking / feeling about this?”, or “Maybe God is relying on me to help lift the spirits of people around me.” etc.

If we all did that, we would also be aligning our individual little spirits with those of all our fellow beings. What a lovely thought!

There are many more meanings to the word ‘spirit’ but I don’t think I need to say more about that this month – just that we need to be part of the solution, not the problem. Let’s raise our spirits today so we can affect others around us to do the same so God will not be disappointed but proud of us!

Love, peace and wisdom

Sometimes a smile really _is_ all it takes.

    Hi Kate
Totally! In fact mostly that’s all it takes. It’s a pity we forget so easily -daily reinforcement required!
    Take care
