You don’t get harmony when everybody sings the same note.

~Doug Floyd

Sometimes in our struggle to fit in, to be ‘just like the others’, we forget that we are unique and it’s that very uniqueness that makes us awesome!

Harmony comes from different notes, different voices, different sounds, all working well together. Not, as Doug Floyd said so well, everybody singing the same note.

So this month, as we explore Harmony at The Calm Space, I’m going to encourage you to add your own voice, your very own uniqueness to the mix.

After all, that’s what we all do best here!

If you’ve a voice you’d like to raise, a word or ten you’d like to share – step up and do it. Leave a comment. Write us a guest post. Tweet or share on facebook, or whatever it is you do.

Let’s see what beautiful sounds we can make together!

This week at The Calm Space:

did you see this?

Guest SpaceIf I Were Queen of the Forest… a gorgeous post by the most lovely Carla Cummins Thomas. It’s always such a joy to have Carla share her wisdom with us, and this one is definitely no exception. Also, take note of the wonderful conversation happening there – and do join in!

Organising SpaceHe Likes, She Likes. Ahhh, Angela gives wonderful tips on bridging the gap between how you’d like your home to look, and how he’d like it. Great stuff!

Breathing Spacetake a moment to breathe. That’s it. In. Out. Slooowly. Deeeeply. In. Out. That’s better… ;) Download this gorgeous pic as your desktop wallpaper for the month – it’ll remind you to breathe more. Stress less. om.
