August already! A month of cold westerly winds and the Ekka here in Brisbane. What’s happening in your part of the world?

What an exciting month this has turned out to be here at The Calm Space! With the theme of Power and Strength, it seems to me that our contributors are showing us their individual and collective strength for August. Far from feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders, we’ve found that individual power helps us to be strong and grow.

We welcome three brand new guest writers:

At Sound Space: Dee shares the power of beautiful music to stir our emotions (and you can win one of three CDs by the artist she features – Tracy Killeen – see our Monthly Prize Draw for details) – Tracy Killeen: All Kinds of Beautiful

At Kitchen Table Space: Janice welcome us to her Kitchen Table with a beautiful tale of love, loss, giggles and celebrations around the heart of her home – My Kitchen Table

At Design Space: Vitania inspires and motivates us with the power of colour to influence how we feel in our home – The Power of Colour

We also welcome back Helen Crozier, guest writing for us at Digital Space with encouragement and resources for those of us who feel challenged by the complexities and plain old scariness of technology – Do you have technology power?

And our regular writers have again pulled out all stops in an amazing line-up of wisdom, inspiration and joy:

At Relationship Space: Chris asks What is the difference between sex and the garden tap?

At Organising Space: Angela offers tips on How to regain your power as a parent

At Reading Space: Marj offers a great selection of books Celebrating the men in our lives

At Spiritual Space: Annie inspires us to tap into Spiritual Power and Strength

At Nature Space: Amy challenges and inspires us with her story about A Suburban Storm

And at Serenity Space: I encourage you to tap into the power to be Happy Right Now

Phew! See – what a line-up!

Of course, you don’t need to read all this in one sitting (and really shouldn’t). These articles are much better read and pondered on. Share your reaction with us in the comments. Join in the conversation. Then, dip in again another day.

You have a whole, glorious August to read, enjoy and digest all this inspirational goodness. Bookmark, make us your home page, come visit whenever you’re in need of a pick-me up, a time-out or simply in need of calm… we’ll be here, waiting for you.

Namaste

Káren xx
