My perfect Christmas Day is… spent quietly with family

My favourite Christmas tradition is… singing Christmas carols… in church, at home, out with friends, in the shops, just try to stop me

I want to celebrate New Year… with friends, looking back and forward

On Boxing Day I’ll be… making merry, entertaining the extended family

All I want for Christmas is… cuddles with my granddaughter, and maybe some photos, and if you really insist, a GPS to make life easier

Shopping – organised or last minute? Love it or hate it? Organised! Don’t love it, so try to get it done early, which is easy as I don’t have many to buy for

I like to decorate with… candles, wreaths, angels, music boxes, baubles, bells, a real tree, the nativity scene my mother painted, lights, the whole works!

My favourite Christmas movie is… Holiday Inn makes me cry every time.  But my children always play Monopoly while watching Home Alone on Christmas Day, even though they’re grown

My most cherished Christmas memory is… as a child singing Good King Wenceslas with my mother, really fast while wrapping presents

I’m able to stay calm and cool at Christmas when… I let go of perfectionism and simply enjoy
