I am so thrilled you're here, and look forward to your design inspiration immensely! My husband and I are in the process of designing (and just about to start building) our dream home (we've never built before), and this post has been very timely as I grapple with overwhelming amount of decisions! We've decided on a neutral base - with splashes of colour; now to decide which neutrals and hopefully the colour will work itself out with your advice as a guide. The world of design blogging is fairly new to me and i am absolutely thrilled to be in the company of so many wonderul people who share my passion for beautiful living. I think that you ard I are going to have a lot in common. You are absolutely right. With a good foundation, the options are endless. Sarah Richardson is just brilliant when it comes to colour combining. She makes simple look dramatic effortlessly. I love that chair too. I have a little reading nook, it would look fantastic in. This magazine just keeps getting better and better! Country Living is one of my soul food sources and I visit lots of design blogs just to sigh...It's good to have so many new colleagues over at The Calm Space who share my passions. I was going to try and make the articles last all month, but I can't see that happening...so many goodies! Those Sarah Richardson colours are the exact colours of my bedroom and I'd love to steal that armchair and those prints and move them in today!!! I've used terracotta, wood and off white as the 'base theme' for the whole house. It's amazing what variations on a theme we can come up with if we love our foundations!
