The Best Conversations
In February 2008 I came out of the corporate world and into my own space, where for the past 12 months I have had some of the most freeing conversation I have ever had. I run my business from home and really have no contact with others, but surprisingly enough not once have I felt loneliness or solitude come over me. I believe this has something to do with a belief in a relationship I have built with the creator. Some of the best conversations I have are in my meditations where I embrace solitude. I seem to be at peace and feel fulfilled with all the love I need. This has connected me to my purpose in life and I highly recommend this to everyone.
Taking a step back from the above statement of having some of my best conversations with the creator, I first needed to believe that there was a creator of all that is. I would suggest a great free course called A Course in Miracles. An amazing insight to the noise behind the head and a self paced development of a relationship you can build with your creator, whoever that may be: Jesus, God, Krishna, Buddha and so on.
Many women say to me today, it’s very hard to have a deep conversation with other women. It is time for us all to empty the inbox (our mind) and instead of storing the information in another file for another time, let us forgive and delete the memory altogether. Once you are comfortable with this notion of deleting a memory you now have more free space to store information and have deeper conversations. Think of your mind like your inbox and the email the e-nergetic mail coming into your mind, now delete the thought that is just the illusion of what you think is happening. Replace with what you want to happen, and it must be a peaceful thought.
Now is the time to begin the conversation with yourself….can you do it?
Tips for Meditation
Create a space in the home, turn off all electrical equipment around this space. If you need music or a guided meditation this is ok.
Light some candles around the room (turn off any other lights).
Burn/vaporize essential oils into the air (nothing uplifting, sedating oils are required when you want to relax).
Sit or lie down, whatever is more comfortable for you when you’re relaxing, use pillows, cushions, blanket or towels to get the comfort just right. (Try not to do this in bed, your subconscious knows bed means sleep and you are likely to fall asleep…and if you have candles burning you will be distracted and nervous).
Belly breathe, breath into your stomach, hold for six seconds and release and do this as many times as you can before your able to slow yourself down to relax.
If I want to have a conversation with the creator, my experience is imagine where you would like to be for this meeting to take place, it could mean sitting beside a great white light, or it could mean walking along the beach, whereever you want to be in your mind while imagining the feeling that you are about to talk with the creator of all that is, don’t be afraid to ask questions, mostly just try and listen.
Let your mind take you on a journey and have conversations you have never had before. I highly suggest after your meditation you write down the conversation, and any message that rings true to you.
Do this many times a week, or just create a weekly ritual, or if you are serious then replace TV time with meditation time, television does not relax you, no conversations happen, it just numbs you.
