This is probably why I can be so ruthless in clearing out stuff that I have no attachment, and there is only a small number of things that speak to me with enough passion to say "keep me I'm special". My objects speak to me too. I have some very peculiar, worthless, objects that speak to me of happy memories, children spending their holiday money on me with love and care.
