Welcome to the Calm Space Marc. A simpler way of life isn't just good for the planet but our health and well-being too. Learning how to tame the beast of consumerism is something we all need to learn - thanks for the suggestions

Hi Marc
Welcome to the clan of girls who've been the contributing authors in this terrific magazine! Clearly you can show your "feminine side" with the best of them!
I hope your ongoing contributions will help me and all of us to take practical baby steps in the sustainability war. I don't need convincing about the need for change, just get me thinking about how I can do that in my simple little world. The old think global and act local concept is a perfect guiding force for this issue!
Looking forward to hearing lots more ideas from you!

Thanks Annie, I've really enjoyed the writing process on a much loved topic. It's nice not to be writing sales and marketing material for a change!

Angela, agree on the not accumulating first. I'm guilty of that in my younger days and am now trying to get maximum value out of things so the production energy and resources are utilised to their fullest.

You are so right, Marc, that stuff = stress. I deal with it every day in my work. It's so rewarding to see the stress disappear when the stuff goes. The trick is to stop accumulating the stuff in the first place.
